Beginning

This
is a beginning horsemanship program offered Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m.
to 4 p.m. Subjects and activities:

Horse sense, breeds, colors,
and ,markings
-
Safety -- approaching and
leading horses
-
Grooming, saddling, and
bridling
-
Mounting and dismounting
-
Seat and hand position
-
Basic aids and horse control
-
Circles and reverses
-
Basic care of the horse --
cleaning stalls and feeding
-
Daily arts and crafts
-
Trotting (if the students are
ready)
-
Cost of owning and caring for
a horse
Sessions:
July 10-14; July 24-28; August 7-11; August 21-25.
There is a limit of eight
students per session. The fee is $400, with a $150 deposit.

Intermediate
(Level II)
This
is a continuing horsemanship program offered Mondays through Fridays from
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students must have completed the Beginning
instruction (above) or receive pre-approval by Carousel's instructor.
